Ciene looked around the center of Prexion in awe. It was so beautiful and so... well, magical was the only word for it. There was so much hustle and bustle, so much life. Redexial the healer showed his kindness, and probably boredom, by helping and healing those who rested there.
"Please, kind lady," said a child at her feet. "Please, can you heal me?" He was clothed in rags and had bloody slashes on his face.
"What happened to you?" Ciene asked in shock. Who would do such a thing to a child?
"A man was looking for some fun so he hit me. Can you heal me?" Tears formed in the child's eyes so Ciene hurried to heal his wounds.
After he scampered away, Ciene thought deeply. Was there really so much pain in these lands?
