"Did you hear?" the young woman whispered to her companion. "Another four were found dead just this morning! And it was just the same... All of it."

Draylth turned from the couple and slipped into the shadows. So it was true, then. There really was something out there killing the mortals. It was something instead of someone because vampires had been found dead as well--but always along a route that very few people know about.

She concentrated for a moment and appeared in the temple. It couldn't be human. No mere mortal would have enough strength to take on those vampires. Werewolves... That just didn't fit. It was obvious enough, though.

It was a vampire. But why kill others like him or herself?
